Our breeding program is dedicated to the development of the all-purpose Labrador Retriever which adheres to the AKC Breed
Standard. Our philosophy is that the Labrador is like a square; each dog must possess the four corner elements that make up the
square: temperament, soundness, function, and beauty. Without any one of these elements in abundance, the Labrador would not
be what it is today-- America's most popular dog! Our breeding blend combines AKC show champion pedigrees, hunting and
obedience titles with fine family pet temperaments to produce an attractive, intelligent friend.
Genetics: Clean, healty bloodlines reflecting show and hunt pedigrees. Health clearances on sire and dam include OFA Hips and
Elbows certified clear of dysplasia, Cardiac and Patellas clear, and CERF eye clearances yearly by a canine opthalmologist as well
as genetic clearance for PRA (progressive blindness).
Whelping/Rearing Environment: Climate controlled, comfortable, safe, sanitary whelping room and rearing kennel attached to
covered outdoor kennel and grass play area. Multiple daily cleanups and daily sanitation.
Training: Early socialization with people of all ages, especially children. Beginning crate, house and litter box training as well as
bite inhibition and manners training. Basic social skills with positive reinforcement. Age appropriate toys and treats.
Nutrition: Mother's milk until 3-4 weeks of age when moistened premium quality large breed puppy formula is introduced.
Medical: Preventative care given including vaccinations and dewormings. Dewclaws removed and microchip inserted. First
veterinary visit done prior to pups going home.
